Mr. Stalcup has over 30 years of experience in R&D, manufacturing and business development, with more than 25 of those years in the orthopedic medical device field. Over the course of his orthopedic career, he has witnessed over 1,000 live surgeries.
Mr. Stalcup loves a technical problem and enjoys the process of finding creative solutions and commercial outlets for them. His creativity is evidenced by the more than 45 patents that he was involved with from start to finish, with more than 35 applications in the pipeline.
He established SITES Medical in 2003 as a means to deliver greater value to orthopedic OEMs and inventors with an integrated approach to technology or product invention, development and manufacturing. It isn’t just about the technology, though; it’s as much about how to conduct a business, with integrity as the cornerstone of the enterprise.
Prior to founding SITES, Mr. Stalcup's previous roles included President of Nemcomed, Director of Sports Medicine R&D at Biomet and Director of Minimally Invasive Technologies at Zimmer. He obtained a B.S. focused on Engineering and Management from Purdue University (IPFW).
